About Your Job:


Reporting to the Sales  Manager, you will be responsible to effectively support the sales force to achieve and maximize the revenue targets ensuring the commercial success of the airline in the area of responsibility. You will provide administrative, technical and logistical support to the sales team. You will also support the Commercial Manager.


Operational requirements:


  • Co-manage and coordinate projects and initiatives on behalf of Sales
  • Responsible for ensuring full administration support is delivered to the Sales Manager.
  • Provide effective, proactive communication of all sales activities/initiatives to the Sales Manager and sales team, customers and other QR departments, to ensure QR maintains profile and presence in the market.
  • Assist in the coordination of forums/workshops/marketing events as required by the Sales Manager.
  • Deal with and directing to correct channel: Customer Relations, Refunds issues, AD request, while feeding back to the Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for administration of QBiz and Corporate accounts.
  • Develop cooperation with internal business units ensuring the customer experience is world class across all depts.
  • Perform other related functions, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Will be required to call on a portfolio of Travel Agents designated by the Sales Manager on a part-time basis.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with Workshops and Training with Travel Agents.


This Position is Based in Durban, South Africa


About You:


You should have relevant tertiary, trade or vocational qualification.

You will have a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience within the travel trade. Previous experience in a sales agent role will be an advantage, as well as be skilled in Amadeus / Galileo or other Airline GDS and fare skills. You will also have strong MS Office skills. You must be able to coordinate actions and activities, prioritize task, and be detail oriented. You will be Commercial oriented and be able to spot and interpret market trends.

Fluency in English Language (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
