About This Position

  • The person in this role will be required to maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant systems to guide business on the optimal use of systems.
  • As the system expert, the role is responsible for resolving system issues, implementing interventions to utilize systems optimally, maintaining and evaluating business rules within monitoring systems in order to support revenue integrity and minimize revenue leakage.
  • The role also requires continues training and development of team members on how to use the system efficiently in order to support revenue integrity and minimize revenue leakage.
  • This role entails building relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure that systems are aligned to business requirements.  
  • The role is further responsible for Risk Managing the process of preventing avoidable losses by addressing revenue leakage as well as managing the effectiveness of all existing revenue integrity and revenue optimizer processes on both brands and supporting the implementation of new business processes in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
  • The role is further responsible for maintaining and improving processes to minimize risk and ensure optimal efficiency and laying a supporting role to projects for the department, within the System environment.
  • The job incumbent is responsible for driving internal health checks of the system and staff performance to ensure optimum system usage and to drive, develop and maintain Commercial policies (within own departments’ responsibilities).
  • The role supports the development of audit parameters & processes for the users and with maintaining these processes, so they are updated at all times.
  • Proper record-keeping for audit purposes are required.
  • Lastly, this role is required to play a supporting role with the Development / Introduction of Training material to support departmental housekeeping & personal development.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Essential) 
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems (Desirable)
  • 3 years’ experience in Airline Revenue Management with experience in airline revenue management systems as a systems user (Essential)
  • GDS experience (Essential)
  • Reservation and ticketing experience (Desirable)
