Applications are invited from suitably and qualified and experienced candidates for consideration for the position of Engineer – Service Modifications that has arisen within the Air Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be reporting to Team Leader: Technical Resource Centre
KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs)
Weighs aircraft prepares weight schedules and appropriate records of aircraft weighing.
Computes weight and balance changes for the various aircraft seating configurations as required.
Assesses Service Bulletins (SBs) and Airworthiness Directives (Ads)
Makes amendments to manufactures publications as a result of Engineer Order Action.
Keeps conversant with Aviation (Air Navigation0 Regulations and Company Procedures as they affect his or her activities.
Initiate investigations /research and presents data relating to modifications/inspections and other engineering changes for considerations by the Modifications Committee.
Issues and amends Engineering Orders.
Solicits advice, information and suggestions from workshops, Maintenance, Materials Planning, Reliability and Flight Operations personnel as well as manufactures with regards to modifications implementation, manpower capability, the severity of the problems, availability of materials ( and their substitutes)
Ensures quality and accuracy of all work done.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum five (5) ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English.
Knowledge of aviation procedures
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance
CAAZ Basic and or Holder of AME type License.
Must be computer literate
5 years post apprenticeship experience.
