Comair Systems Administrator

Comair Limited, a JSE listed Aviation Group, is looking for applicants for a Systems Administrator based in Randburg, at the Comair Travel offices. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the systems are populated with the correct data and are functioning according to specifications.

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

To ensure the systems are maintained and updated by loading new properties, rates, and suppliers timeously and accurately according to the contract.
To ensure the data on the back end systems is aligned with the data on the front end reservations systems and monitor any inaccuracies generated from the system.
To follow the service level agreements and the support process through to implementation.
To administer all close-outs and inventory levels of all free sell and allocation agreements to ensure accurate inventory levels for sales purposes.
To perform all required ad-hoc administrative functions across the departments.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in a Travel related field (Essential)
  • GDS Qualification (Desirable)
  • 3 years’ experience in the Travel industry, loading and managing rates in a content management system (RWA/eRes/Openjaw) (Essential)
    Reading and understanding contracts from travel suppliers and loading of holiday packages (Essential).
    Experience working on GDS systems (Desirable)

 

Additional Details:


Context: The Systems Administrator reports directly to either the –Travel Operations Manager or the Systems & Distributions Manager.  The person in this position is required to understand, interpret and transfer the relevant data from the supplier contracts into the relevant booking systems and through this ensures that all the data on the systems are correct and accurate and that the data & contracts are loaded and completed timeously. Part of this responsibility is to update data on the system related to special offers, all changes to rates and fault finding.  Internal liaison, therefore, takes place with the Web Development department, content team, reservations department, and product team.  External liaison takes place with properties, supplier rates department and the software support teams who manage the various booking systems.
